Things I’m doing

Today I’m honestly not doing that much. There is not that much to do during quarantine. So obviously I am doing school online but other than that I’m not that sure what I am doing it might just be a normal chill day. Psalm 9:9-10 , ” The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”

St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated in honor of  St Patrick, one of Ireland’s saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. St. Patrick was kidnapped at the age of 16 and became a Irish slave. When he was a slave he heard a voice telling him to come home. When he returned home he became a missionary in Ireland.

Love

Today I’m going to be talking about a time that I felt loved and how you can love others. If you haven’t read my blog Overcomer you should go check it out, but if you have read it you would know that when I was younger I struggled with anxiety. Recently I went on a trip with my youth group to Mentone , Alabama and there was a couple there that used to go to our church there names are Kaylee and Steven. One night we had the opportunity to talk to them and so I talked to Kaylee about my anxiety and she was the easiest person to talk to and I felt like for the first time I had someone who really understood me and since that day she has been my role model. I had volleyball practice yesterday and if you do volleyball you would understand that it is hard sometimes to love your teammates and even the players on the other team. So I’ve really been praying and trying to be better about that. John 15:12,”My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

Encouragement

Image result for your brokenness is welcome here

I would love to encourage myself to accept broken people. At the end of the day we are all equally broken. No matter your situation we are all sinners and broken. Sometimes we don’t realize that every sin is equal but no matter what God loves you and will accept your brokenness. Isaiah 43:2,” When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.”

KOBE BRYANT

Hey guys! Since this is black history month I want to recognize Kobe Bryant. Kobe passed away on January 26 2020 in a helicopter crash with his daughter and many other amazing athletes including family and friends. Kobe had an amazing part in the African American movement. He meant so much to the members of the black community and many others including myself. His role as an athlete and as just a normal person was incredible. Kobe touched many peoples lives. The loss of Kobe was so unexpected and so many people are heart broken. Today I pray for Kobe’s family and friends. Kobe, we miss you so much and your wonderful personality, you truly had an amazing impact on so many peoples lives.Romans 8:39-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Civil Rights Movement

Most people say that they believe that The Civil Rights Movement is not a gospel movement but does have to do with Christianity. The Civil Rights Movement is classified as the equality of colored people.Which means that colored people should have the same opportunities as “other people”.John 3:35 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”
